Synchronicity

Synchronicity is a concept introduced by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. It refers to the meaningful coincidence of two or more events where something other than the probability of chance is involved.

Acausal

According to Jung, synchronicity suggests a deeper connection between the observer and the observed events, indicating a kind of "acausal connecting principle" that goes beyond cause and effect. In other words, events are connected not by a direct cause-and-effect relationship, but by their meaning and significance to the individual experiencing them

Collective Unconscious

Jung believed that synchronistic events often occur during times of psychological transformation or when an individual is moving towards wholeness or self-realization. These events can serve as powerful messages from the unconscious or the collective unconscious, providing insight, guidance, or confirmation of one's path in life.
