Empire State Message

Let’s be honest: most of us don’t have the courage to crawl up onto the roof of a two-story house, let alone scale a building and its antenna, which sits 1,454 feet above the ground. But on July 1, 2026, Angelina Nikolau and Ivan Kuznetsov did just that. At midday in Manhattan, the couple, wearing black masks and black clothing, climbed to the top of the Empire State Building and unfurled a banner that read:

“When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

What a way to start a month that has been on the radar of most astrologers for a long time, due to a never-before-seen, unique configuration known by many names, but which I refer to as a mini-grand trine, consisting of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, all of which will reach 4 degrees of their respective signs during this month.

Right on cue, with Mars in Gemini and one degree away from a conjunction with Uranus in Gemini, literally the sign of the news; we get a breaking story about this dynamic duo, Gemini, climbing to the top of the fourth-tallest building in New York City: an action that involves a high level of danger, Mars, and was done in a rebellious manner, Uranus.

What they did next was extremely representative of the energies of Mars and Uranus. While standing dangerously at the top of the Empire State Building, they unrolled a banner with a philosophical statement, a 9th-house theme, declaring a message that was humanitarian in nature as well as one of awakening, Uranus. Repeating it once again:

“When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

Even this message is very Gemini in that it addresses the topic of love from a mirrored perspective. A final note is that this takes place in the house that represents things that are high above us and far away. Just saying…

And last but not least, in this same house, the 9th house of the law and courts, is the provocative asteroid Prometheus. Here we can say that the mythological figure associated with defiance, rebellion, fire-bringing, challenging authority, and risk-taking for a cause is perfectly aligned with the event the world’s eyes were watching.

Further adding to this strongly correlative moment, this fiery union of Angelina and Ivan ended in a marriage proposal. When we examine the 7th house of marriage and partnerships, we find the infamous Aries Saturn and Neptune, which crashed onto the scene back on February 20, 2026, when they met in a conjunction at zero degrees of Aries. This is the first time this has occurred since 4361 BC. Again, this tense event carried a message that embodies the Saturn-Neptune collision in Aries, which represents a battle between the entrenched establishment and its power, Saturn, versus the planet that represents a higher vibration of Venus: Neptune, representative of higher ideals and the dissolution of walls. And it ended in a marriage proposal. Yes, you can’t make this up!

Also present in the same 7th house with Saturn and Neptune was the asteroid Choelia, also in Aries. This asteroid is connected to bold escapes, courage, and breaking out of constraints. It is perfectly fitting for the actual narrative of this event.

But here is where things get really interesting. In the 10th house of this chart of the moment resides a Leo Jupiter and a Cancer Mercury in conjunction, sitting in opposition to a trio in the 4th house: a Capricorn Moon, Aquarius Pluto, and an asteroid known as Devience, which was retrograde at the time of this event.

Let’s dissect this into several pieces. First, a Leo Jupiter in the 10th house speaks to an event that is bold, dramatic, and taking place center stage. And in this instance, it took place in front of the world, which is the domain of the 10th house: the most public-facing part of the chart. With Jupiter, we find a Cancer Mercury retrograde. This indicates a mindset that is working from a very emotional place, deeply reflective and not designed with a purely cognitive purpose, but rather to provoke feelings. The message, again, was:

“When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

On the other side, opposite these two planets, lie a Capricorn Moon, Aquarius Pluto, and an aptly named asteroid, Devience. The exact configuration is highly symbolic in this case, as the alignment is Capricorn Devience retrograde first, with a Capricorn Moon in the middle, and then an Aquarius Pluto retrograde. Here we find an emotionally repressed and controlled Moon under the thumb of authority, surrounded by an asteroid that represents straying from rules, nonconformity, and breaking norms, along with a freedom-seeking and defiant Pluto in Aquarius, which openly declares, “Power to the people.”

The picture that comes into focus is an attempt to find balance and resolve differences between a very provocative and emotional message that all the world was intended to see, sitting opposite the people whose emotions and feelings are being leaned hard on by the Man, but who are also being provoked by the influence of Devience, suggesting nonconformity, and Pluto shouting, “Unite!”

Stunningly, the already-cited configuration of Saturn and Neptune sits at the apex of this opposition between the 10th and 4th houses. An apex in a T-square represents the point of release for the tension found in the opposition. So, poetically, the marriage proposal that took place at the top of the Empire State Building, complete with a revolutionary banner that read:

“When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

…seemingly represents the place where we are shown a bold and powerful example of love that defies current authority and rules and instead reaches higher, into the realm of Neptune, where we dream, imagine, and believe in things that could be. And adding to this powerful story is the asteroid Cloelia, speaking to the need for courage and breaking out of constraints.

And finally, the planet of love, Venus is proudly in the sign of Leo in the 11th house of the collective, humanity, and altruistic causes. It is conjunct the asteroid Valleda. What is Valleda you ask? Well, it represents prophecy, rebellion, resistance movements, and speaking against power. No, I’m not kidding…

What an incredible way to start July. I can’t wait to watch the rest of the show if this is the opening act.
